What is the weirdest place you have traveled too? Mine was the island of Saba near St. Maarten?

The weird part is that the airport runway is cut right into the mountain. If the plane overshoots, you go right into the sea. The people are friendly, but so isolated it is like they are from another century.
This is the island that the movie King Kong used for the establishing shot. If you are looking for a neat destination, and one off the beaten path, then go. It is cool. There is one road, take it all the way to the top.
