How can I find companions to travel abroad with?

So I want to travel from the US to pretty much anywhere abroad in the next few months. The only problem is I can’t find anyone among my friends at home who will commit to going with me. Travel agent and they you can make friends they have any singles trips planned they do this but they encourage singles to go on certain trips planned they you are with bunch of resorts.
