How come the waters in the Caribbean are crystal clear and the waters in the arctic or NJ/new york aren’t?

Well I want to know more research on this.
Also does algal bloom have anything to do with global warming? Does global wamring have to do with the clarity of the water? does the fact that the caribbean is near the equater play any role in this?
