What’s the best place to stay at St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles?

At the end of the year I’m planning to visit st. maarten, I would like to know from previous experiences what’s the best place to stay at, maybe something close to Princess Juliana International Airport so I can see the big boys land, thanks.
